35W×7 - 18 industrial tire
The following is an introduction to the 35W×7 wire rope:
Structural Characteristics
● Strand Composition: "35W×7" indicates that the wire rope is composed of 35 strands, with 7 wires in each strand. "W" represents the Warrington structure, where the wires are arranged in a combination of different thicknesses.
● Twisting Method: It adopts the process of twisting the inner and outer strands in opposite directions. During production, the inner layer is twisted first, followed by the outer layer, which is completed in two twisting processes.
Performance Characteristics
● Good Anti-rotation Performance: The opposite twisting directions of the inner and outer layers can effectively counteract the rotational force, making the wire rope less prone to rotation during use.
● High Strength: The structural configuration of 35 strands and 7 wires, as well as the combination of different wire thicknesses, endows the wire rope with a high breaking tensile force.
● Good Wear Resistance: The metal filling coefficient in the strands is high, the gaps between the wires are small, and the surface is smooth. It has a large contact area with pulleys or drums, and its wear resistance is 30% higher than that of ordinary 6-strand ropes.
● Excellent Flexibility: Compared with some multi-layer strand wire ropes, it has better flexibility, improved flexibility, and very small reaction force.
Specification Dimensions
Common diameter specifications include 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, etc.
Application Scenarios
It is mainly used in occasions where high anti-rotation performance of wire ropes is required, such as tower cranes, gantry cranes, truck cranes, crawler cranes and other lifting equipment. It is also used in mine winches, electric hoists for traveling cranes, port cranes, etc.
Material and Strength
Materials such as 72A, 82B, and T9 are usually used to manufacture 35W×7 wire ropes, with most using 82B. The strength is basically 1870N/mm² and 1960N/mm².
